The petitioners have approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners for allotment of flats in the 1984 Sikh Riot Victim Category in terms of the policies meant for riot victims dated 03.11.2008, 29.12.2009/04.01.2010, 29.09.2011, 17.10.2013/ 26.09.2013, 31.01.2014, 15.05.2015/22.04.2015 and 09.03.2016 (Annexures P-2 to P-8, respectively).

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioners referred to order dated 30.05.2016 (Annexure P-14) passed in CWP-11069-2016, (Sohan Singh and others Vs. CWP-20362-2016 -2to the petitioners to file a detailed and comprehensive representation before respondent No. 2 raising all the pleas as have been sought to be raised herein and a time bound direction be issued to respondent No. 2 to dispose of the representation of petitioners expeditiously in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. 3.

After hearing learned counsel for the petitioners, perusing the present petition and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, we dispose of the present petition by granting liberty to the petitioners to file a detailed and comprehensive representation along with supporting material before respondent No. 2 within a period of one month from today. It is directed that in the event of filing such representation by the petitioners within the stipulated period, the same shall be decided by respondent No. 2 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the representation, in accordance with law by passing a speaking order and after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners.
