The petitioners have approached this Court complaining that a pay anomaly has arisen amongst ETT teachers in the Zila Parishad, Kapurthala as a result of implementation of the ACP scheme on completion of four years of service. In the process of consideration, some juniors have been placed in higher pay scale while the petitioners have not so been. A direction is sought to step up the pay of the petitioners to bring their salary at par with their juniors. The petitioners have represented to the Department vide Annexure P-6 dated July 25, 2015 demanding justice which has not been decided so far.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that this Court has already issued similar directions in cases including CWP No.13323 of 2015 titled Amarjit Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and others decided on July 07, 2015 where the Court directed a similar representation to be MANJU 2015.10.08 13:48 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh

CWP No.21333 of 2015 -2decided by issuing the following directions:- "That being so, and without expressing any opinion on merits, and particularly as regards the issue of delay/limitation, if any, this petition is disposed of only with a direction to respondents No. 6, 7 & 8, to consider and decide the claim of the petitioners, as set out in their representation dated 28.01.2015 (Annexure P7), strictly in accordance with law, within a period of 3 months from ther receipt of certified copy of this order. Though, needless to assert, a comprehensive order shall be passed, assigning reasons in support of the decision arrived at." I would similarly issue the above quoted directions made by the Coordinate Bench in the aforesaid writ petition to the respondents. The period of three months would begin in this case from the date when the certified copy of the order is made available. With these directions, the petition stands disposed of.
