The substantive prayer made in the petition reads thus: 'A. Call for the records of the case;

B. Allow the present petition and modify / set aside the Impugned Order dated 05.03.2026 (Annexure P-5) passed by the Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Malerkotla, strictly to the extent that it directs the petitioner to furnish a fresh surety bond in the sum of Rs. 50,000/-; C. Issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction, directing the Ld. Trial Court to accept the same surety and surety bonds which were previously submitted on record by the petitioner prior to the issuance of the non-bailable warrants, as the order issuing the said warrants has already been set aside by this Hon'ble Court.'

Keeping in view the nature of the innocuous prayer made in the petition, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the petition in hand without calling upon the respondents at this juncture. 3.

CRM-M No.28985 of 2026 -2petitioner has pleaded that the cheque, which has been allegedly dishonoured, is for an amount of ₹3.50 lakhs and the petitioner has caused appearance before the concerned Court in terms of earlier order passed by this Court, the impugned order dated 5.3.2026 is modified to the extent that the petitioner shall be required to furnish bail/surety bond to the tune of ₹5000/- with one surety in the like amount. 4.
