Harmandeep Kaur v. Union Of India And ORS
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH
Civil Writ Petition No.21352 of 2015 Date of decision: 20.11.2015 Harmandeep Kaur
...Petitioner
Versus
Union of India and others
...Respondents
CORAM: HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA
Present:
None for the petitioner.
*** G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) None has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner. As per office report, notices could not be issued as the process fee has not been filed. Similar was the position on 19.10.2015. Conditional notice of motion order was issued on 6.10.2015 wherein the petitioner was ordered to be given admission only if she fell within the zone of consideration subject to her deposit of 5 lacs as per the bond given in favour of the Medical College at Rajkot. The said draft was to be handed over to respondent no.3-University for onwards transmission. The petitioner's intention to surrender the seat was also to be done so that the seat vacated by the petitioner could be offered to other meritorious candidates. It is, thus, apparent that the petitioner has not filed the process fee purposely on two occasions since the admission process has to be finalised and neither counsel has put in appearance. Accordingly, the present writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
