(ORAL) Through this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for quashing of order dated 27.04.2022 (Annexure P-2), passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Tarn Taran, vide which the bail bonds and surety bonds of the petitioner were cancelled and forfeited to the State and non-bailable warrants of arrest has been issued against the petitioner due to his non-appearance in case No. SC-18-19 titled 'State Vs. Lakhbir Singh', arising out of FIR No. 101 dated 24.09.2017 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 307/452/336/148/ 149 IPC and Sections 25/27 of the Arms act, 1959 at Police Station Chohla Sahib, District Tarn Taran.

The petitioner was not named in the FIR (Annexure P-1) and no role or injury has been attributed to him. After investigation, petitioner was nominated as accused in the present case and was arrested. RISHU KATARIA 2022.09.29 17:05 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-36840-2022 -2He was granted the concession of regular bail under Section 167(2) Cr.P.C. However, petitioner remained absent on 27.04.2022 without intimation to the Court, which resulted into cancellation of his bail and forfeiture of bail/surety bonds to the State. No cogent reason has been given by the petitioner for his absence.

In view of the above, this petition is dismissed. However, if the petitioner surrenders before the trial Court within ten days from today and files an application for anticipatory bail before the trial Court, the same shall be decided expeditiously.
