The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered against her vide FIR No.147, dated 01.09.2021, Police Station City-1 Sangrur, District Sangrur, under Sections 21 and 29 of NDPS Act. 2.

At the time of issuance of notice of motion the following order was passed on 17.9.2021:

"Learned counsel contends that the alleged contraband (5.5 grams of heroin) was recovered from the co-accusedNavdeep Kaur, who was arrested on spot and upon her disclosure statement, the petitioner has been indicted as an accused.

Notice of motion for 27.01.2022.

Meanwhile, the petitioner shall join the investigation and would come present as and when called for and in the MOHAN SINGH 2022.07.15 05:11 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

- 2 - CRM-M-38741-2021 (O&M) event of arrest, the petitioner shall be admitted to interim bail on her furnishing personal and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. The petitioner shall also abide by the conditions as specified under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C."

Learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Jasvir Singh, has informed that pursuant to interim directions, the petitioner has joined investigation and is not required for custodial interrogation. It has also been informed that the petitioner is not wanted in any other case. 4.

Having regard to the aforestated position wherein the petitioner has joined investigation and is not required for any custodial interrogation, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 17.9.2021 is hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
