The instant petition has been filed for issuance of direction to respondents No.2 and 3 not to harass the petitioners at the instance of respondent Nos. 4, 5 and 6 and to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the family members of petitioner No.2. It is contended that the petitioners are major and are in live-in relationship against the wishes of the private respondents and family members of petitioner No.2 who have been threatening them with dire consequences. In this regard, the petitioners submitted a representation dated 13.10.2020 (Annexure P4) to respondent No.2 i.e. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohali for redressal of their grievance but no action has been taken thereon so far.
