(Oral) The petitioners are said to have served the Indian Army during second National Emergency from 24.05.1974 to 25.03.1977. Their grievance is that due service benefits after their appointment in civilian employment have not been granted to them in accordance with Rules. On the other hand, the rules were amended retrospectively as an attempt to deny such benefits to Ex-servicemen like petitioners. The petitioners raised their claim vide legal notice dated 09.07.2016 (P-3) also has not been responded by the authorities.

In these circumstances and as prayed for, we dispose of this writ petition, without expressing any views on merits, with a direction to respondent Nos.2 to 6 to decide the above-mentioned claim of the petitioners in accordance with law/rules, within a period of four months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
