1. Through the instant petition, as instituted under Section 438 of the Cr.P.C., the petitioners seeks the concession of anticipatory bail, in case FIR No.44 dated 15.04.2024, under Sections 379 and 411 (added subsequently) of the IPC, registered at P.S. Badhni Kalan, District Moga.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, owing to party faction in the village, the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present FIR. Moreover, the present FIR has been registered on the basis of an extrajudicial confession made by petitioner's coaccused. Lastly, he submits that the investigating agency is not seized of any cogent inculpatory evidence to connect the petitioner with the alleged theft.

3. Notice of motion for 04.09.2024.

4. Mr. Pardeep Bajaj, D.A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State of Punjab.
