**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Petitioner has preferred this petition for the issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction especially in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the due amount of Rs.7,50,000/- along with interest qua the work done by the petitioner.

Petitioner is a Class-A government contractor. He was a successful tenderer for the work assignments. The work was completed by the petitioner without there being any complaint.

Total payable amount was Rs.28,57,000/- and the respondents have paid an amount of Rs.21,07,000/-. Remaining amount of Rs.7,50,000/- is still to be paid to the JYOTI SHARMA 2022.05.12 17:26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No. 19213 of 2021 -2petitioner since 2017 for which bills have already been submitted. A legal notice dated 13.02.2020 filed by the petitioner is still to be answered.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case his legal notice is directed to be decided by respondent No.2 by passing a speaking order in accordance with law.

In view of nature of order which this Court proposes to pass, there is no necessity of calling upon any response from the respondents at this stage.

This writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to take note of pending legal notice dated 13.02.2020 got issued by the petitioner and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. If the petitioner is found entitled for the amount in question, then the needful be done within a further period of one month.
