Pooja Sharma v. State Of Punjab & ORS
CWP 20554/2016
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH Date of decision:08/12/2016 Pooja Sharma ............Petitioner vs State of Punjab and others .............Respondents CORAM:- HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Mr.HC Arora,Advocate with Mr.JS Rana,Advocate for the petitioner.
Mz.Sudeepti Sharma,DAG Punjab assisted by Mr.Bimal Dev,Sr.Asstt.o/o DPI(SE)Punjab Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Petitioner was appointed as ETT Teacher on 7.10.1998 (Primary Wing) Punjab. Her grievance in the present petition is that her juniors have been promoted in the rank of Mistress w.e.f. 1.4.2010, however the case of the petitioner was illegally not considered although she had acquired the essential qualification of B.Ed., in the year 2002. It is apparent that petitioner's grievance regarding promotion of juniors is highly belated.
Upon seeking a clarification from the Department, the learned State counsel has placed on record a copy of the order dated 6.12.2016 passed by DPI(SE)Punjab whereby the petitioner has been ordered to be promoted as a Social Studies Mistress w.e.f. 1.4.2010 with notional benefits. She submits that the present petition has thus become infructuous. Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for grant of arrears of salary/benefits for a period of 38 months prior to the filing of the present writ petition.
