**** JAGMOHAN BANSAL , J. (Oral) The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India is seeking directions to respondent No.2 to restore his passport.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that there was dispute between petitioner and his wife who lodged FIR No.41 dated 22.10.2020, under Sections 177/420/498A of IPC and Section 12 of Passport Act, 1967 at Police Station Women Cell Ludhiana. The FIR stands quashed vide order dated 16.02.2023 passed by this Court in CRMM-56026-2022. The respondents sought verification report from local police. The office of the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana vide report dated 18.04.2023 has already clarified that no case is pending against the ANJU GOEL 2023.07.14 16:47 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-14765-2023 -22023:PHHC:088048 petitioner and police has no objection if passport is issued to him. Mr. Jund, counsel for respondents No.1 and 2 submits that the competent authorities would look into grievance of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order.

In view of statement of learned State counsel and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into the grievance of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order within 04 weeks from today after considering police report dated 06.02.2023 and order dated 16.02.2023 passed by this Court in CRM-M-56026-2022.
