Today, at the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he restricts his prayer at this stage to issuance of a direction to respondent No.2Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to take necessary steps for protecting his life and liberty as he apprehends threat to the same at the hands of respondent No.4.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of the averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to get the representation dated 9.9.2021 (Annexure P-3) examined as regards the alleged threat perception of the petitioner.
