(The aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in virtual court) Instant petition has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.2 to 5 to take remedial action by ordering regular enquiry under the provisions of Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 on the complaint dated 08.06.2020 submitted by the petitioner with regard to embezzlement of public funds by respondent No.6 in connivance with respondent No.7 as well as bank officials. The main grievance of the petitioner is that respondent No.6 and 7 in connivance with bank officials embezzled public funds allocated for the development of village by opening the bank account in the name of workers under MGNREGA Scheme and thereby withdrew the amount from their account and caused huge loss to the public exchequer. CWP-17689-2020 --2-- Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner also moved representation dated 16.09.2020 (P-6) before respondents No.2 to 4, but till date, no action has been taken by the concerned authority.

At this stage, Mr. Sourabh Girdhar, AAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State. Copy of the paper book be supplied to learned State counsel, during the course of the day. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be satisfied, if direction is issued to the respondents to look into the grievances unfolded in the representation dated 16.09.2020 (P-6) and decide the same, in a time-bound manner.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and after perusing the paper-book, but without commenting on merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to concerned respondent-authority, to look into the grievances unfolded in the representation (P-6) and take appropriate decision in accordance with law, within a period of five weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
