Reply by way of affidavit of Sh. Rakesh Kumar, Joint Director, Local Government, Punjab on behalf of respondent Nos.1 and 2, has been filed wherein it has been stated that it has been conveyed by Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar that payment of 2,59,979/- towards gratuity amount has been made to the petitioner herein vide Cheque No.329060 (PNB) dated 05.02.2021. It has further been stated in the reply that vide order dated 23.07.2020, the charge-sheet against the petitioner has also been dropped as no adverse evidence was found against the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner would state that though gratuity amount has been paid, however, the interest on the delayed payment has not been paid so far. Learned counsel for the petitioner does not wish to press the present writ petition, however, he seeks liberty to represent before YOGESH SHARMA 2021.03.31 21:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document the authorities concerned qua the interest on the delayed payment.

CWP-19097-2020 (O&M) -2In view of the above, the present writ petition is dismissed as not pressed with the liberty aforesaid.
