RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying for issuance of direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from respondents No.4 to 7. It is further prayed to direct respondents No.1 to 3 to register criminal case against respondents No.4 to 7 and take action on the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.07.2024, Annexure P-1.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that for redressal of his grievances, the petitioner has given representation, dated 02.07.2024, Annexure P-1, but no action has been taken on the same. Notice of motion to official respondents only at this stage. On asking of the Court, Mr.Tarun Aggarwal, Sr.DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State MEENU 2024.07.17 12:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document and submits, on instructions from ASI Sajjan Singh, that on the

CRWP-6682-2024 -2representation filed by the petitioner, inquiry has already been marked to the DSP (HQ) and the same would be concluded expeditiously. In view of the above statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to take care of the life and liberty of the petitioner in case it is found to be in danger at the hands of private respondents, as alleged before the Court.
