Petitioner has sought a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing provisional order of assessment, Annexure P-5 passed by respondent no. 2 raising a demand of `60,000/- on the petitioner for alleging unauthorized use of energy. Petitioner filed objections against the memo, Annexure P-5 which are still pending for consideration. His grievance is that his objections have not been decided, yet he is being harassed at the hands of respondents.

At the outset, learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that competent authority shall proceed to decide the objections filed by petitioner expeditiously. It shall not press any action pursuant to letter, Annexure P-7 written to SHO police station Pundri till the decision of the objections. As regards prayer for release of electric connection of the petitioner, learned counsel submits that in case petitioner fulfills all the conditions, connection shall be released to him.
