G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioners are aggrieved against the order dated 03.03.2014 (Annexure P-5), vide which, respondents no. 4 and 5 have been promoted from the post of Patwari to the Post of Kanungo. Without going into the issue on merits since the grouse of the petitioners is on account of the FIR pending against one of the employees and the other not having the requisite number of service experience, it would have been appropriate to approach the respondents firstly.

The present petition has been filed without approaching the respondents for redressal of the grievances and without bringing to their notice any violation of the Rules which they could have then acted upon. Faced with the situation, counsel does not press the present writ petition and prays for liberty to withdraw the same and approach the authorities at the first instance.

Ordered accordingly.
