Versus

...Respondent(s)
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA
Present:
Mr. N.S. Gill, Advocate, for the petitioner.
G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) Admittedly, the condition of grant of benefit of service is not prescribed in the prospectus of the present year. In such circumstances, the claim in the representation cannot as such be enforced by a writ of mandamus.
Accordingly, no directions can be issued to the respondents for decision of the representation, as it is settled principle that a writ of mandamus would only lie to enforce a claim which can be legally enforced and the present writ petition is dismissed.
