G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks admission against the vacant seats of MBBS course of management quota in Scheduled Caste category in the respondent-college on the strength of her rank of 4610 in the open merit and in the category rank of 432.

The case of the petitioner is that vide notice Annexure P-8, candidates of the said category having marks more than 400 in the PMET were called for counseling on 30.09.2015 by the respondent-university. The petitioner was present there but was not considered. In the reply filed by the university, the defence taken is that the last candidate of the said category was having open merit rank of 3750 with a category rank of 426 and having secured 452 marks in PMET against 432 SHIVANI GUPTA 2015.11.30 15:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

In such circumstances, the petitioner did not fall within the zone of consideration and is not above the last candidate admitted and, therefore, there is no scope for interference.
