The petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to waive the extension fee in respect of the plot that is the subject matter of the writ petition.

There is no provision for granting a no dues certificate. As on date, no demand for extension fee has been made by the respondents. The petitioner contends that he is not liable to pay extension fee in view of a policy which has not been produced.

It is not necessary at this stage to direct the respondents to consider the representation(s) for the no dues certificate. If and when a demand is made by the respondents for extension fee, it will be open to the petitioner to contend before the respondents that he is not liable to pay the same as also to adopt appropriate proceedings to challenge the demand. 4.
