(Oral) The petitioner seeks quashing of the election of Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat held on 10.01.2016 which is alleged to have been materially affected due to forged voter list. Some other grounds have also been taken up for the annulment of election.
In our considered view, all these issues can be effectively raised by the petitioner in the Election Petition which is maintainable under the Act.
