(ORAL) In the present writ petition, the grievance which is being raised by the petitioner is that he was senior to one Sh. Rajbir Singh in the cadre of Master, hence he is entitled for the step up of his pay equivalent to Sh. Rajbir Singh.
Counsel for the petitioner states that Sh. Rajbir Singh was promoted as a Lecturer in History prior to the petitioner on the basis of reservation. Counsel further states that Sh. Rajbir Singh was promoted on 07.05.1992, whereas the petitioner, who though was senior to Sh. Rajbir Singh, was actually promoted as a Lecturer on 01.12.2007. Counsel for the petitioner further argues that once the petitioner had caught Sh. Rajbir Singh in the cadre of lecturer on 01.12.2007, he again regains the seniority over and above Sh. Rajbir Singh and therefore, will be entitled to step up of his pay in terms of the NARESH KUMAR 2019.07.24 11:58 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Counsel for the petitioner further submits that for the relief which has been sought in the present writ petition, petitioner has submitted the representations (Annexures P-7 to P-9) to the respondents, which are still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to the respondents to decide his latest representation dated 30.09.2018 (Annexure P-9).
In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to decide the representation dated 30.09.2018 (Annexure P-9) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
