1. The petitioners who are working as Pump Opeators seek issuance of directions to the respondents to promote them as Junior Engineers w.e.f. 22.06.2021 in accordance with Notification dated 22.6.2021 (Annexure P-2).

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners at this stage would be satisfied in case the respondents consider their case for the purpose of promotion in accordance with the Notification.

3. Notice of motion.

4. Upon an advance copy of petition having been supplied to State, Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG, Punjab has put in appearance on behalf of respondents.

5. Having regard to the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioners at this stage, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioners for promotion as Junior Engineers in accordance with Notification. The petitioners would be at liberty to file a MOHAN SINGH 2023.07.14 16:54 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
