(ORAL) The petitioner (Sunita Kumari), a married daughter, was seeking appointment on compassionate basis being dependent of a Martyr of the Armed Forces Personnel in terms of the Policy dated 30.05.2014 (Annexure P-13) issued by the State of Haryana. Challenge has been laid to the relevant clause of the Policy, whereby the married daughters were not entitled to claim such a relief, however, the status of the father of the petitioner as a Martyr was never in dispute.

Upon notice, a written statement, contesting the claim has been filed, however, learned State Counsel submits that subsequently vide memo dated 28.09.2018, the original Policy has been amended, whereby even the dependent married daughters have also been made eligible to seek compassionate appointment under the said Policy. C.W.P. No. 17531 of 2017 (O&M) -2Counsel for the petitioner states that the present writ petition has become infructuous as the State Government has, during the pendency of the petition, offered appointment to the petitioner as "Clerk" in the Office of Deputy Commissioner under the Policy.

Dismissed as infructuous.
