Learned counsel submits that the petitioner though was promoted as District Education Officer, however, has not been granted one additional increment as per the rules to which he is entitled to. Reference to the judgment by this Court in Kamla Kohli vs. State of Punjab and others, CWP-4074-2007, decided on 02.05.2025, appended as Annexure P-5. In this regard, a representation dated 14.09.2024, Annexure P-4, has been submitted, however, the same has yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 2.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representation dated 14.09.2024 within a period of 6 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and PARVEEN KUMAR 2025.05.28 16:04 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment.

CWP-15695-2025 (O&M) -2hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
