JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) The petitioner was promoted as Lecturer in English and is stated to be working with Education Department (Secondary Education), Punjab. He has been transferred from his place of posting at Government Senior Secondary School, Tanda Batha, District Fatehgarh Sahib to Government Senior Secondary School Chakkar, Ludhiana vide order dated 10.8.2016. He was relieved from his posting at Fatehgarh Sahib vide Annexure P.1. He was, however, not permitted to join at his new place of posting at Ludhiana, hence the present petition.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from Mz. Zhhama Rani, Principal, GSSS Tanda Batha, District Fatehgarh Sahib-respondent No.4 as also Sh. Chamma Ram, Principal, states that the petitioner is at liberty to join at his previous place of

CWP No.21183 of 2016 (O&M) #2# posting within two days. She, however, assures that on petitioner joining within two days, his salary will also be released to him. In view of the aforesaid stand of the State, present petition is disposed of as infructuous.
