Prayer in the present writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the Court of Assistant Collector 1st Grade, Jagadhri, District Yamuna Nagar to expedite the trial of the case titled "Gram Panchayat Vs. Ghanshyam & Ors." under Section 7(2) of the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961 (Annexure P-1).
