Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner has married against the wishes of her family and they are now posing threat to her life and liberty. A representation (Annexure P-1) has been made to Superintendent of Police, Sangrur in this regard. Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur to look into the aspect of threat to the life and liberty of petitioner, verify the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to the petitioner from any legal action taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated/pending against him in accordance with law.
