Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that private respondents are posing threat to the life and liberty of petitioners due to property dispute with them. A representation (Annexure P-1) has been made to Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar in this regard. Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar to look into the aspect of threat to the life and liberty of petitioners, verify the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to the petitioners from any legal action taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated/pending against him in accordance with law.
