Through instant petition, preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ especially in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent-department to club the service of petitioner from 31.08.1979 to 22.06.1992 rendered as Lecturer in Fine Arts in Government Adarsh Higher Secondary School Bhagu, Bathinda controlled by Punjab School Education Board with his service rendered as Associate Prof. Govt. College Mohali in Fine Arts towards qualifying service for the purpose of pensionary and other service benefits as per letter No.17/108/20-1093Edu.2/5194-95, dated 05.12.2011 (P-11). 2.

At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though representation dated 27.05.2016 (P-9) was moved to the respondents but till date neither any reply to the said representation has been received nor any conscious decision has been taken by the respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that she feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide representation (P-9) in a time bound manner.

Accordingly, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Director Public Instructions (Colleges), Punjab, Complex Punjab Education Board, Mohali to consider representation (P-9) and to take a conscious decision within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

However, if petitioner still feels aggrieved by any of the orders passed by the aforesaid authority concerned, he shall be at liberty to have recourse to the remedies available under law as well as to approach this Court.
