The petitioner seeks grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.202, dated 14.9.2020, Police Station Guruharsahai, District Ferozepur, under Sections 452, 324, 148, 149 IPC.

- 2 - CRM-M-34502-2020 (O&M) the help of a 'gandasi' but the said injury has been declared as a 'simple injury'. It has further been submitted that it is a case of cross-versions wherein petitioner had also sustained an incised wound as would be evident from MLR (Annexure P-2). 3.
Learned State counsel upon instructions from ASI Jaspal Chand has informed that pursuant to interim directions issued by this Court, the petitioner has since joined investigation and that his custodial interrogation is not required and that he is not wanted in any other case.

Having regard to the aforestated position wherein the injury caused to victim/complainant has been opined to be a simple injury and even the petitioner is found to have sustained injury and the petitioner has joined investigation and is not required for custodial interrogation, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 15.1.2021 are hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
