The issue raised by the petitioners are no more res integra. The Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in the case of 'Amarjit Kaur and another Vs. State of Punjab and another' in CWP-15020 of 2012, held as under:- "4. For the foregoing reasons, the three writ petitions are allowed. The State is directed to restore the equation and the pay of both the groups be brought at par. The petitioners are held entitled to the same pay-scale and other benefits arising consequentially and the arrears now be computed and paid to the petitioners calculated from 36 months prior to the date of filing of the petitions.
5. However, as far as promotion is concerned to the higher post, the petitioners will be at liberty to make a comprehensive representation to the competent authority in the State Government within 45 days for its consideration toward granting them promotion in accordance with law and the rules applicable from the due dates, if they are otherwise eligible. On this point opinion is not expressed and is left to the promoting authority, in the first instance."

The said case also relates to Lady Social Workers. 3.
In view of the fact that all the petitioners are Lady Social Workers, the contention raised by the respondents submitting that the petitioners are different from those who were the petitioners in CWP-150202012 (supra) is found to be without basis. The same relief has been granted to the petitioners.

Accordingly, the writ petition is decided mutatis mutandis as above. The retiral benefits of the petitioners shall be revised accordingly. 5.
Since no prayer has been made for grant of interest, the interest is not being granted.
