Advocate General, Punjab. **** SHEEL NAGU, CHIEF JUSTICE (Oral) The petitioner has filed this petition for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 36 dated 22.03.2025 under Sections 326(G) of BNS and 61(2), 303(2), 317(2) of BNS and 3(A) of Explosive Substance Act added later on, registered at Police Station City Batala, District Batala. 2.

It is informed by learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Jaswant Singh that petitioner is cooperating in the investigation. However, it is informed that petitioner has large number of offences registered constituting criminal antecedents including cases of attempt of murder and offences punishable under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in some of the alleged cases, the petitioner has been acquitted and in one of the cases under RAVINDER KUMAR 2025.07.10 19:09 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M No. 29780 of 2025 (O&M) [2] Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code, trial is going one and in the case registered under the NDPS Act nothing has been recovered from the petitioner. 4.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is cooperating in the investigation, the order dated 27.03.2025 passed by this Court granting interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner stands confirmed and this Court extends the benefit of anticipatory bail to the petitioner subject to his furnishing personal bonds for a sum of Rs. One lac with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. However, the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Arresting/Investigating Officer and shall abide by the conditions as provided under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. In case the petitioner does not join the investigation, the State is free to move an application for cancellation of his bail.

This order shall also remain subject to the following condition:- i) During this monsoon season, the petitioner shall plant 10 saplings of indigenous plants at a public place and submit proof in that regard by way of photographs before the concerned Police Station where the FIR has been registered within a period of 15 days and if there is no such intimation submitted or intimation is found to be incorrect, then the State can move an application for cancellation of his bail.
