Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent No.5 had committed fraud of `2,54,00,000/- and after filing of complaint under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, he with the help of respondent No.6 intimidated the petitioner and is posing threat to his life and liberty. He is also trying to dispose of the material lying at the spot in order to evade his liability to pay the due amount to petitioner. Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to look into the grievance of petitioner regarding threat to his life and liberty, verify the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

So far as the matter regarding shifting/disposing of the material/goods by respondent No.5 is concerned, the petitioner has separate legal remedy in this regard, which he can avail, if so desired. ( SURINDER GUPTA ) July 22, 2019.
