It is contended that entire retiral benefits due to the petitioner have not been released. Petitioner retired on 31.07.2015 and only a sum of `1,00,000/- (one lakh) has been released to him. Petitioner had opted for being governed by the Punjab Municipal Employees and General Provident Fund Rules, 1994 on 26.10.1994 (Annexure P1). It is submitted that despite representation dated 07.09.2015 (Annexure P3), no action is being taken by the authorities. Keeping in view the limited prayer addressed at the time of arguments, the facts and circumstances of the case but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the controversy, present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to expeditiously decide representation dated 07.09.2015 (Annexure P3) submitted by the petitioner by passing a speaking order thereon, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case, petitioner is found entitled to any retiral benefits as claimed, same be released to him within a period of six weeks thereafter.
