Petitioner prays for a direction to the respondents to regularize his services in view of the Punjab Goverment's policy dated 04.03.1999 (Annexure P1) as well as decision dated 23.09.2002 in CWP No.12199 of 2000 (Sukhdev Kaur v. State of Punjab and others) Annexure P2, and decision dated 28.10.2014 in CWP No.1933 of 2014 (Kanta Rani v. State of Punbjab and others) Annexure P6. Consequential benefit arising therefrom is also prayed for. Petitioner is stated to be appointed as a Part-time Sweeper by the Punjab State Transmission Power Corporation on 08.02.1996 and since then he OMKAR SINGH 2015.10.20 11:37 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.22497 of 2015 [2] has been working continuously on a salary of `3,300/- per month. It is contended that despite notice of demand dated 11.08.2015 (Annexure P8), no action is being taken by the authorities. It is prayed, at this stage, that notice of demand served upon the respondents be directed to be decided by the authorities in a time bound manner.

Keeping in view the limited prayer addressed at the time of arguments, the facts and circumstances of the case but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the controversy, present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to expeditiously decide notice of demand dated 11.08.2015 (Annexure P8) submitted by the petitioner by passing a speaking order thereon, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
