The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.101 dated 15.10.2020 at Police Station Purana Shalla, District Gurdaspur under Sections 324, 323, 148 and 149 of Indian Penal Code, wherein offence under Section 326 IPC was added lateron.

At the time of issuance of notice of motion the following order was passed: " The matter has been taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to outbreak of COVID-19.

( 2 ) CRM-M-34404-2020 (O&M) Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is real sister-inlaw of the complainant and the injury attributed to the petitioner is two dang blows on the right side on the back which is on the non-vital part of the injured.

Notice of motion for 21.12.2020.

Meanwhile, in the event of arrest of the petitioner, she shall be released on ad-interim bail to the satisfaction of the arresting officer. However, the petitioner shall join the investigation as and when directed by the investigating agency and shall abide by the terms and conditions laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C."

The learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Surinder Pal Singh, has informed that pursuant to interim directions issued by this Court, the petitioner has since joined investigation and that her custodial interrogation is not required.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 29.10.2020 are hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
