This is a civil writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the order dated 09.06.2015 (Annexure P-6), whereby permission of the petitioner to join the service was rejected. 2.

An affidavit has been filed by the Secretary, Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab, wherein, it has been stated as under:- "That Subordinate Services Selection Board issued Advertisement No.1 of 2010 for the recruitment of 400 posts of Veterinary Inspectors in pursuance to in the requisition send by Department of Animal Husbandry, Punjab. The petitioner was a candidate for the said post and was declared eligible at Sr. No.138 in General Category. In pursuance to his selection, his name was recommended to the department of Animal Husbandry, vide letter No.1/86/2010-IE(SSSB)/12910 dated 27.12.2010 for appointment against the post of Veterinary Inspector. In view of above, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed and therefore, the present petition has become infructuous. 4.

In view of above, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
