$ Present criminal writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed by the petitioners praying for protection to their life and liberty, in view of the marriage solemnized by them against the wishes of respondents No.4 & 5.

Mr. Anil Kumar Lamdharia, APP for U.T. on instructions from ASI Kuldeep Singh has apprised the Court that both petitioners have got recorded their statements and categorically stated that there is no threat to their life and liberty as on today.

Faced with the situation, learned counsel for petitioners stated that no cause of action survives in the present petition. In view of above, the present petition is disposed off as having been rendered infructuous.

However, it is made clear that if occasion so arises, the petitioners would be at liberty to take recourse to the remedy available to them under law.
