**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) This petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of the private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No.1 was earlier married to respondent No.4; that due to temperamental differences, dispute arose between petitioner No.1 and respondent No.4; that petitioner No.2 was married to one Raj Rani, who passed away leaving behind three children and that now petitioner No.1 has been residing with petitioner No.2 in a live-in relationship. He further submits that parents of the petitioners were informed, but they are issuing threats to the petitioners regarding their live-in relationship. Notice of motion to respondents No.1 to 3-State only. On the asking of this Court, Mr. Harbir Sandhu, AAG AMAN JAIN 2022.08.16 18:16 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRWP-7735-2022 (O&M) -2Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3-State only. He, on the instructions from ASI Bhajan Lal, submits that, petitioner No.1 had got recorded her statement on 15.08.2022 before the Sub-Inspector (SI) concerned stating therein that as per the decision taken in the Panchayat, she is residing separately from respondent No.4 and the children are being looked after by respondent No.4. It is further stated in the said statement that there is no threat to her life and liberty and she is residing happily with petitioner No.2.

In view of the above, no further orders are called for. Disposed of.
