By virtue of instant civil writ petition, preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction and disburse family pension to the petitioner being dependent of late Sh. Anokh Singh, Ex-Senior Assistant in the office of District Education Officer (Secondary) Bathinda, who died on 28.09.2014, along with arrears thereof and interest @ 9% per annum . 2.
At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though representation dated 31.08.2017 (Annexure P-5) was moved to the respondents but till date no conscious decision has been taken. He further submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent(s) to decide aforesaid representation, within a stipulated period 3.

The State of Punjab and others", decided on 04.10.2010 (P-4), within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 4.
However, if the petitioner still feels aggrieved against any of the order(s) passed by the concerned authority, he shall be at liberty to have recourse to the remedies available under law as well as to approach this Court.
