Prayer made in this petition is for direction in the nature of mandamus to initiate legal action against owner of the property in question for illegal conversion/construction into a religious place without prior approval of the authorities. It has been urged before the court that petitioners are residents of locality meant for residential purpose for more than 50 years. There are four temples in the area. However, another property, specification whereof are given in the petition, has been converted into a religious place in an unauthorized manner. According to counsel for the petitioners, violations of this nature are creating problems for the residents of the locality. Thus, same needs to be removed. Petition is disposed of with the direction that respondents no. 5 to 7 shall examine the grievance of the petitioners and submit a report within one month.
