The petitioner approached this Court for a direction to the respondents to pay interest on the delayed refund of the amount of tax paid under the Punjab Value Added Tax Act, 2005.

During pendency of the present petition, sanction order of payment of interest has been issued. Learned counsel for the State submitted that the amount shall be credited in the account of the petitioner by October 26, 2018.
