Present petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of mandamus directing the respondents to provide appointment to the petitioner on compassionate grounds as his father died on 04.08.2011 while on duty. As such, petitioner is eligible to be appointed on compassionate basis.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that grievance of the petitioner is restricted on the point that his application dated 30.09.2011 (Annexure P1) and legal notice dated 04.04.2018 (Annexure P3) in this regard remained undecided till date.
