IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH CWP No.1649 of 2018 Date of decision:06.04.2018 The Ludhiana District Brick Kiln Owners Association (Regd.)

...Petitioner

Versus

State of Punjab and others

...Respondents

Coram:

Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain

Present:

Mr. Deepak Nayar, Advocate, for the petitioner.

**** Rakesh Kumar Jain, J.

The petitioner is a registered association of the brick-kiln owners of Ludhiana District, who has prayed for the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction to the official respondents to take action for the unauthorized selling of bricks in contravention of the statutory provisions of the Punjab Control of Bricks Supplies Act, 1949 and the Punjab Control of Bricks Supplies Order, 1972.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties and examining the available record, I am of the considered opinion that the present petition is totally vague and bereft of material particulars much-less the names of the said bricks selling agents against whom the action is proposed to be taken. The petitioner may file a vague petition but the Court cannot pass a vague order on the same.

Thus, I do not find any merit in the present petition and hence, the same is hereby dismissed, though without any order as to costs. April 06, 2018 (Rakesh Kumar Jain) vinod* Judge Whether speaking / reasoned:
