*** ANIL KSHETARPAL, J (Oral) The hearing of the case was held through video conferencing on account of restricted functioning of the Courts. The petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondent No.2 to initiate the proceedings against respondent No.3 to 7.

The petitioner claims that Sh. Uday Singh, an elected Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, village Karkhana, Tehsil Safidon, District Jind, is suffering from paralysis. The petitioner alleges that respondent No.7, who is the son of Sh. Uday Singh, in connivance with respondent No.3 to 6, has embezzled Rs.18,90,158/-. He claims that infact the amount involved is more than Rs.40 lakh.

Learned counsel representing the petitioner admits that on the information given by the petitioner, the police had initiated proceedings, however, recorded his wrong statement. The petitioner is stated to have

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, this Bench is not inclined to exercise its extra-ordinary jurisdiction in the matter. The petitioner, if so advised, may avail the alternative remedy.
