The petitioners claim themselves to be the owners of their respective marriage palaces located in the State of Punjab. Their grievance appears to be that the authorities are not faithfully complying with the directions/view taken by this Court in the judgement dated 10.01.2014 (P1) as clarified vide subsequent orders dated 28.11.2014 and 24.09.2015 (P2 & P3, respectively).

The petitioners further allege that the authorities are acting in a discriminatory manner in giving effect to the policy guidelines of 2012 to the marriage palaces constructed before or after the year 2007. It is in this backdrop that the petitioners have submitted a representation to the Chairman, PUDA (P4) and one of the prayers in this writ petition is to direct the authorities to consider the issues raised in that representation. In this view of the matter and without expressing any views on merit, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Chief Administrator, PUDA to consider the above-mentioned claim of the petitioners which is also contained in representation dated 06.10.2015 (P4) and decide the same by passing a reasoned order within three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
