Present:

Mr. Fatehjeet Singh, Advocate, for the petitioner. (proceedings conducted through video conferencing) GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J. (Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had been married to respondent No.5 - Lal Singh son of respondents No.6 and 7 namely Bagicha Singh and Kashmir Kaur, but on account of some matrimonial discord, they had been residing separately. It has been submitted that since the police did not take any action against the accused, who had been harassing the petitioner, the petitioner was constrained to file a private complaint under Section 498 and 406 IPC and she also had to move an application to the SDM under provisions of Section 145 Cr.P.C. It has been submitted that her husband i.e. respondent No.

5 - Lal Singh has solemnized second marriage without getting the first marriage dissolved and in respect of which the petitioner had already made a representation to the police, but no action has been taken thereupon and rather the private respondents have been threatening the petitioner with dire consequences in case she does not withdraw her complaint/s. CRWP-9065-2021 (O&M) -2Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka to look into the matter and to get the representation dated 16.09.2021 (Annexure P-3) examined so that the same is disposed of expeditiously.

A copy of this order alongwith representation dated 16.09.2021 (Annexure P-3) be sent to respondent No.3 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka, for necessary compliance.
