State of Punjab and others ......Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE SURYA KANT HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SUDIP AHLUWALIA
Present:
Mr.Sudhir Hooda, Advocate for the petitioners. ........
SURYA KANT, J.(ORAL) The question which arises for consideration in this case is whether the petitioners are entitled to protection of the provisions of Punjab Laws (Special Provisions for Regularization of Unauthorised Colonies) Act 2018 and the Statutory Policy notified by State of Punjab on 20.04.2018 in exercise of its power under the said Act? The petitioners are claimed to have purchased plots in an unauthorised colony before the cut-off date prescribed by State of Punjab and they further claimed to have constructed residential houses prior to the said cut-off date. It being a question of fact, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach the Committee of Officers, as mentioned in para 10.1 of the Statutory Policy dated 20.04.2018 and establish their claim, sought to be raised in the instant writ petition.
